Sounds like one heck of a journey but one for the books thats for sure!
Glad to see you have settled down in Aqaba for a couple of day and I hope that you can get your work done.

Look forward to your next entry!

Ha...God, what a mess. This episode perfectly encapsulates everything that could go wrong when traveling, all at once. Whee!

German tourists might even be worse than American tourists.

I'm psyched for Wadi Rum too! Hopefully Jordan goes more smoothly for you.

Hey Gary, kind of funny. I could have given you all the details, but it doesn't seem like want would listen, although I could be wrong. The boat across the Red Sea to Sharm has not been running for a long time. A guide book can always help.

I cannot believe you didn't take time to dive the Red Sea, even in Dahab.

When I took the boat to Jordan it took all day, we waited five hours to board the boat, although I expected the wait and enjoyed the day anyway.

Not diving is one thing I do regret. I have have done a lot of diving on my trip so it wasn't that great of a loss. I could in theory still dive in Aqaba.

I had 1 day left on my visa so it was extend the visa or just move on to Jordan. I opted for Jordan which is turning out to be a good move. I like Jordan and I'm able to get some work done I wasn't able to do in Egypt.

Yeah, but half the fun of travelling is remembering where we come from isnt as bad as we thought. Yahoo.

Sorry the yahoo was meant to be encouraging not derisive - realised it could be taken both ways....
